Connor arrived with the last load of building supplies and unloaded them onto the terrace of Kimmer's Koffees. He could feel the buzz of another immortal inside so he knew Katherine must be inside and working away again. She had been here since the wee hours of the morning till Connor had come and forcibly drug her out earlier to have breakfast with him. He had then given her orders to go home and take a nap or go visit a friend for a couple of hours. After a brief but intense battle of wills she had finally agreed to it. He knew she would work herself to complete exhaustion once she threw herself into a project like this, and he had no intention of allowing her do that.

Once inside the coffee shop he could hear her singing happily to herself as she worked away in the little kitchen. Her goal for today was to completely clean everything in it from top to bottom and repaint the walls and then to get a start on the bathrooms.

"Woman of the house!!! Where's me tea?", he yelled at the top of his lungs as he brought in some of the supplies. That got him a rude comment yelled merrily back at him in Gaelic from the kitchen. He stuck in head in to see what she was doing and found her on her hands and knees scrubbing the floor along the bottoms of the cabinets. Connor couldn't resist walking over to her and playfully giving her a hard swat on the behind. "Didn't you go home like I told you?" he asked gruffly.

Katherine yelped in surprise and tossed a handful of soap suds at him. "I did not! I went to visit Lilly instead", she said with a mischievous twinkle in her eye.

"No big surprise there, not with her having a new baby in the house. So how's that wee one of hers doing?" he ask as he grabbed a scrub brush and started working on the upper cabinets that he knew she would have difficulty reaching.

"He's a grand little lad, he is, and doing just fine. By the way, I'm now his Godmother", she said with a broad grin. Connor nodded his head. He refrained from saying that nearly every other woman in SIMsCity was Nicky's godmother too. What mattered to him was Katherine was really pleased with the idea of it. He chuckled to himself, remembering when they first met how they could not walk through the market place without attracting every child in the whole neighborhood. There was something about Katherine that really appealed to children. Scratch that he thought, there was something about her that made her appealing to everyone, regardless of age. He smiled as the quote "little friend of all the world" from one of Rudyard Kipling's books came to mind. It fit her very well. He glanced down at her again, admiring how good she looked in the shorts and crop top she was wearing. That got him to thinking about how she look without them.

Just then the front door rattled and a strong male voice yelled out, "Anyone home? Is it safe to come in? " Connor grinned and told Katherine it was probably just another delivery person with more supplies. She looked up at him oddly, suspecting that he was up to something. She just shrugged and went back to scrubbing.

Connor went out to see who it was, grinning broadly when he saw five of his dopplegangers standing at the door. "Hi guys! Glad you can make it!" he said as they trooped in. Jeremy and Gus had been delegated to carrying several large bags of snack food items, while Dani, Paul, and John Brennick carried in assorted tool boxes and other supplies. Glancing out the door he could see Hudson and John Clayton coming from the direction of the zoo and Father Alec and Darius off in the distance coming their way.

"Where's your lady at?" Gus asked. Connor nodded his head towards the closed kitchen door.

"On her hands and knees in there scrubbing the floor. She knows something is up though. It will just be a matter of time before curiosity overcomes her stubborn streak and she sticks her head out to see what is going on." Connor said, a lopsided grin on his face.

Right on cue, Katherine came out of the kitchen and stood, hands on her hip and tapping her foot. "All right Connor, me bucko! What is going on here?"
